INTRODUCING THE STRIDA 5.0

Designed and developed in the UK, the Strida folding bicycle is finally available in New Zealand. The Strida features an aluminium frame, disc brakes, a silent and grease free Kevlar belt, alloy rims and hubs, a very ergonomic and upright seating position adjustable for people of all heights and a genius design which folds in six seconds.

  • Fold the Strida in 6 seconds and easily take it on a train or bus. Unlike other bikes, you can wheel a Strida when it is folded.
  • A 7000 Series Aluminium frame and anodized alloy hubs and rims mean the Strida weighs in at a measly 9kg's.
  • 20 years in the making, the all new Version 5 is lighter and stronger than it's award winning predecessors.

Some customer feedback...

C Randall, Wellington 9/3/09

Just thought I would email you to say how pleased I am with the Wisper 905eco with 14ah battery. So far this year I have managed to cycle 3 to 4 times a week to work. All up it a 36 km ride to work and back home. The battery is good for a least 50km on one charge but I find it more convenient to charge it each day overnight. The joy of this bike is that it completely neutralizes the strong wind we get here in Wellington, so regardless of the wind I can cycle at a constant 30 km/h give take a km or two. Of course the biggest kick I get is riding up the Ngaio Gorge hill at the end of the day, which I do at 18 to 24 km/h depending on wind and whether there are any other cyclist grinding up the hill at 10 km/h to show off to! Despite riding an electric bike I am still getting plenty of exercise on it and in fact I am losing weigh at the moment.I am trying to talk my partner in to buying a Wisper bike as I would like us to go cycle touring on electric bikes.
